True Beauty...

So many people these days questions faith. How do you know? What if its not there? What will happen to me?

I like to think of it this way, have you ever seen something so beautiful it gave you a chill? How about heard of anyone beating the odds in a 'not going to make it' situation? I recently got a chance to go hiking at a nearby camp. I never thought I would be on top of a mountain, but when I gained enough courage to climb the last 30 almost completely vertical feet, I stood of top of the mountain looking around. Never in my life had I ever felt so accomplished. It was one of the most beautiful sites of my life. The best part about this was that it was all nature. It blew me away that something so natural could make me feel this way. I know that there is only one thing that could create something so beautiful and allow people to see true beauty. The lord works in mysterious ways. Even when you are in a rough place in your life, he shows you he is there. God will never give you more than you can handle, but he will show you what you are capable of.

When your life is hard you just have to see the beauty of it around you and know that everything happens for a reason and makes you who you are today.

Footsteps In The Sand

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:
one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him
he looked back, at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you,
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
